Services:   Waynesboro Nurseries, Inc., specializes in residential and commercial design/build planting, maintenance  and construction.   Our design staff often work as a team to develop creative solutions for our clients.   The production crew, under the control of the designers, handle all the planting and landscape construction (retaining walls, walks, patios, etc).   The emphasis of all our work is to maintain the highest level of quality, from design to completion. 

Area Served:  We serve all of Virginia=s residential and commercial landscape needs.

Company Size:   We operate 4-7 crews throughout most of the year.  We employ about 20 field personnel, and a sales/design and office staff of 7 people.

Waynesboro Nurseries, Inc., has been growing beautiful landscape size plant material, and  installing our designs since 1934. We've worked to meet customer needs efficiently and professionally.

Because we offer both design and an installation services, we can satisfy any project you have, and see it through from its inception to the final walk through. We can also work with your existing plans, or submit a bid proposal, according to your precise specifications. This allows you to work with just one firm, without having to coordinate ideas, meetings and deadlines with a number of companies.

Company History

 "Poor stock is costly at any price and an experienced planter will not buy it."  These are the words of our founder, EM Quillen.

After purchasing Titus Nurseries in 1934, Mr. Quillen put these words, and his hands, to some good use. Blessed with the rich soils and moderate climates of Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Mr. Quillen went to work. He changed the name to Waynesboro Nurseries, and then created a thriving, multi-faceted business, including wholesale nursery, landscape construction and mail order catalog.

Waynesboro Nurseries continues to grow and change in his footsteps, right along with the demands of a growing and changing marketplace. We have increased our production facilities from 15 acres of rented land in 1922, to over 1,200 acres devoted to raising nursery stock today. We have expanded our product mix to include over 500 varieties of ornamentals.
